Creating unique and consistent character designs is still a major pain when using AI image models. The same prompt may create multiple variations of the same character idea. Therefore, tools to create consistent characters are important. This is especially true when using AI to create comics and manga, where consistent characters are a key feature. Another use case is creating characters for your own IP for purposes such as marketing and branding.
With the new update it is now possible to create character sheets directly in Anifusion. The feature allows you to use a simple prompt to drive an extensive model-workflow which outputs a character designs consisting of six different angles. See the video for an example.

Creating Characters
To begin creating your character sheet, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the sidebar and click on "Character Sheets" to access the character generation interface.
- You'll find a text input field where you can describe your character. For best results, structure your description to include:
Essential Character Details
- Gender and Age: Specify whether your character is a boy, girl, man, or woman. You can also include specific age ranges (e.g., "teenage girl" or "middle-aged man")
- Physical Appearance: Describe key features such as:
- Hair color, length, and style
- Eye color and shape
- Body type and height
- Skin tone
- Distinctive features (if any)
- Clothing: Detail the character's outfit, including:
- Style (casual, formal, fantasy, etc.)
- Main clothing items
- Color scheme
- Accessories
- Expression: Describe the character's default expression or emotional state
- Facial expression (smiling, serious, etc.)
- Overall mood or attitude
Additional Tips
- Be specific but concise. For example: "A tall teenage girl with long blue hair, wearing a white summer dress and a cheerful smile"
- You can use either natural language or Danbooru tags for your description
- Order your details from most important to least important
- Include any style preferences if you want a specific art style
After entering your description, click the "Generate" button to start the process. Remember that generation takes about 5 minutes to complete.
Using your Character
Once your character has been created, you will be able to view all angles directly on the interface. Simply click the images!
You can use this new character sheet for many use cases.
- You can use this sheet as a reference for imagining new designs.
- You can use the feature for brainstorming.
- You can use the created images to train a LoRA if you'd like to use it for generating images or manga. This will be covered in a future tutorial.
If the character was not created to your expectations, you can also click the retry button to trigger another generation. Typically there will be some variations in the created characters.
You can directly export the full size images as a ZIP file by also clicking the corresponding button.
Examples
"A young woman with straight black hair cut at chin length, sharp black eyes, and porcelain skin. She wears a perfectly tailored charcoal gray suit."
"1girl, bunny ears, white shirt tucked in, office lady, yellow eyes, white hair, ponytail"
"A futuristic cyber-robot maid girl."
Known Issues
- The character might appear distorted or the perspective might be off. In this case, I advise to just retry the generation.
- Certain artifacts might appear in the background. This is an issue with the underlying workflow and 3D model and is being actively worked on. You may use an image editor like Photoshop to remove these artifacts, or you can try the "Remove BG" feature on Anifusion.
